There was a vote which passed at our lodge meeting on March 7, 2014 to change our meeting time from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Lodge meetings will now be held the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m.
There is one exception to the days this year. With Labor Day being our normal meeting night the meetings in September will be held the second and fourth Mondays.

I am sure all of you know about the terrible tragedy that afflicted the Dissinger family in our community. They lost 3 children and their home to a fire in early April.
The officers of this lodge have decided to help them in any way we can and have planned some events to help do this.
There are 4 boxes in the hallway of the lodge for collecting clothes, shoes, toiletries, bed linens, towels etcetera. Please try and fill these boxes for the family, they will be left there until May 5th.
On Saturday, May 3, 2014 Danville’s Spring Fling will be a big fundraiser here at the Moose for them. We will be serving breakfast from 7:00 to 10:30 a.m. and Lunch consisting of ham, beef & chicken BBQ starting at 11:00 a.m. in front of the lodge on Mill Street. The proceeds will be donated to the family.
Also, in our parking lot that day there will be a bounce house and game area for the kids to enjoy. This venture is being put on by friends of the family and these proceeds will also be donated to the family.
Hopefully it will be a nice day and all of you will bring your kids or grandkids for some fun and good food.
Please help us help them in their struggle to return to life as normal as they possibly can by donating and attending these events.
On Friday, May 9, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Danville T-Railers we will be hosting a chicken & waffle dinner at the lodge. The cost will be $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 12. The lodge will be donating the food and the T-Railers will be waiting tables. All proceeds will be donated to the T-Railers.
As the old Moose saying goes, “A BURDEN HEAVY TO ONE IS BORN LIGHTLY BY MANY” hopefully this will ring true again. Thank You in advance for your consideration.
