Moose Riders
Beginning Thursday, July 1st at 6:00 p.m. we will be meeting at the Moose every Thursday through July and August to take a ride for ice cream. The destination will be decided that evening. Anyone who wants to join us is welcome.

The picnic ride originally scheduled for July 3rd is cancelled. It is re-scheduled for Saturday, July 24th with a rain date of Saturday July 31st. We will meet at the Moose at 10:00 a.m. for the ride and end at Carol and Jeff’s house for the picnic. Anyone wishing to make a covered dish can drop it off at our house (7 Race St. in Mausdale) the night before or the morning of the ride. Please call me at 490-1563 and let me know what you are bringing so we don’t have any duplication.
At the picnic, we will talk about rides we will be going on in August, September and October.

The 2nd annual PA Moose Association Ride weekend is scheduled for August 27, 28 & 29 at the Millerstown Moose. If anyone wants hotel or campground information please contact me at 275-2041. The ride is scheduled for Saturday the 28th with a breakfast buffet from 7 to 11 a.m., registration from 8-10 a.m., dice run leaves at 11:00 a.m., Chicken BBQ from 4-6 p.m., bike games at 6 p.m. and a band at 9 p.m.
Pre-registration forms are available in the social quarters. Please feel free to pick one up.

Help Mooseheart School win $500,000!!!
A Few Mouse Clicks Mean $500,000 to Mooseheart School ... or Not.

If, by just clicking a computer mouse a few times over five to ten minutes, you could send a HALF-MILLION DOLLARS to help Mooseheart's kids, you'd do it -- wouldn't you?

Between now and Friday evening, September 3, by just "voting" for Mooseheart School as your "favorite school" on the "Kohl's Cares" page on Facebook, we Moose members can get that $500,000 from Kohl's Cares Foundation for Mooseheart School!

That's $500,000 we then WON'T need to ask from the men and women of the Moose to help operate Mooseheart's school this year!

If you have a Facebook account (easy to set up), if you're 13 or older, and you're a U.S. resident -- just go to http://apps.facebook.com/KohlsCares, follow the directions to vote the maximum allowed FIVE (5) times for Mooseheart School -- and that's all there is to it!

Please ask your spouse, your family and all your friends to do the same!

If Mooseheart School finishes among the top 20 schools in nationwide voting, we'll receive a Kohl's Cares check, payable to Mooseheart School, in the amount of $500,000!

I would like to take this time to remind all of our members of a commitment they made when they joined the Moose, which is to strengthen our membership by sponsoring one new or former member each year.
There are many benefits to sponsoring members as Moose International, the PA Moose Association and your own Lodge here in Danville has many membership campaigns throughout the Moose year which runs from May 1, 2010 to April 30, 2011.
Current Lodge campaigns include:
• Preferred Member Party – Sign just 1 member throughout the campaign and you will be invited to the Preferred Member Party to be held in May of 2011. This includes a cocktail hour, Prime Rib Dinner and entertainment at no cost to our sponsors and a guest.
• Preferred Member Raffle – For each member you sponsor you will have a ticket entered into a drawing at the Preferred Member Party to win your choice of a 32” flat screen TV, a gas grille or $500.00 in cash. Sign 1 member and have one chance sign 10 and have 10 chances
• 5-Club – If you sponsor 5 members throughout the campaign your yearly dues will be paid by the Lodge.
• Sign 2 new or former members from June 1st to August 31st and receive a $20.00 Lodge gift certificate.
• Any month during the year that we have 15 new or former members sponsored the sponsors will be entered into a drawing to win a $50.00 gift card from Weis Markets.
Current PA Moose Association Campaign:
• Sponsor 3 members and you will receive playing cards in a collectible tin.
• Sponsor 5 members and you will be invited to the 5-Club Party at the PMA State Convention in August, 2011.
• Sponsor 10 members and you will receive a short sleeve PMA campaign shirt.
• Sponsor 20 members and you will receive a long sleeved denim PMA campaign shirt.
• Sponsor 25 members and receive a set of 200 poker chips w/ case
• For every member sponsored you will be entered into a drawing to receive 1 of 6 $1000.00 gift cards from Best Buy.
The Moose International campaign for this year will not be unveiled until the International Convention being held in Nashville the beginning of July. Please watch for posters in the Lodge in July detailing the new campaign.
Our quota for new or former members this year is 146. As of the end of May we have 8 new members sponsored by 5 of our members. With our membership currently standing over 1, 000 it should be no problem reaching our quota. Remember to talk to your friends and family about the Moose and get them to join the greatest fraternity that there is.
